Creating Healthy Parkinson’s Communities™ TOGETHER

Since 2004, the Davis Phinney Foundation has offered educational programs designed to help people live well with Parkinson’s. Over the years, we have learned, without a doubt, that the community connections we’ve made because of our programs are what create lasting change. That is why we launched our Healthy Parkinson’s Communities™ initiative: to reach and help more people with Parkinson’s live well by engaging community leaders who share our mission.

Get involved! Browse our programs to learn how you can get involved through local initiatives, apply for community grants, or become an ambassador. We need people like you to ensure all people with Parkinson’s have access to critical and life-changing resources.

The movement is growing

Communities across the US and Canada have started the initiative in their areas.

How do I use this map?

You can explore this map by clicking on a state or province to see it more closely or by using the “+” and “-” buttons in the upper lefthand corner to zoom in and out. You can drag the map when you are zoomed in to move to different parts of it. If you’d like to reset your view, click the arrow button in the upper lefthand corner to zoom back out to see the entire map.

You can also click on an Ambassador or Community Grant icon to learn more about them, and soon you’ll be able to do the same with registered Community Action Committees!

Don’t see any activity in your area? We’re still growing and need your help. Complete our Healthy Parkinson’s Communities Initiative Interest Form to learn more about becoming a community leader.
